Nipping the Problem in the Bud
Carolyn was recently released from the hospital following pneumonia and also has Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disorder (COPD) which is a very serious breathing disorder. We called Carolyn to see how she was doing after her hospital stay and we noticed she seemed very tired. During the conversation, we found out Carolyn was cleaning the the bird cages she had for her finches (Larry, Curly, Moe & Shemp). She had spent 4 hours cleaning on her first day home from the hospital. Carolyn knew that wearing a mask when using harsh cleaners was important but not when she was cleaning the bird cage. We explained the importance of using a breathing mask anytime she was around something that could trigger her breathing issues and helped find her several services to help with the cleaning so Carolyn could rest. Carolyn agreed to accepting the help and the we arranged for the cleaning appointments.
